Katie Sampter is a recurring character in Touch of Magic. She was a student at SJBS and a very close friend of Mila Romano and Samantha Washington, untill her dissappearance in 2008.
Katie is a human, but after being saved and rescued by Alyssa she landed at The Anconi Compound where she lives now. She knows many of The Anconi's most prominent members and she often arranges things in their assignment.

Early Life[]
Season One[]
In Season One, Katie is introduced as a friend of Mila, Mike, Payton, Claire and Justin. She is also shown to be friends with Samantha Washington. When Samantha gets expelled, Katie drifts more towards her other friends, mainly Mila. One night they kiss and mutal interest between the two girls is shown. However Katie is torn with the feelings, and she avoids Mila in the time that follows.
When Mila and Katie both happen to attend the same party, Mila pulls her aside to talk but they get interrupted by Dean and Max. Katie is kind towards the two guys, and agrees to keep their relationship a secret, despite the fact that Dean is dating her best friend. When Dean endures homophobia at the school, Katie is one of the people to express her support to him, causing some people to gossip behind her back.
As the school gets distracted by the newest hot item - Claire and Seth's relationship - Katie is able to focus on her academics for the remainder of the year. However at winter formal she is unable to keep her eyes of Mila. The two of them end up sharing another kiss in the middle of the dancefloor, and Katie is convinced that the school's over the whole issue. However when Katie receives a text with a picture of her and Mila, she is forced to take a distance.
As the cyberbully experience threatens to not only out her, but also ruin her academic carreer, Katie calls in Dean's help in tracking down the bully. They locate the source of the text at the party for Justin's birthday, where he is revealed to be a friend of Chris Saphire, Justin's younger brother. The guy reveals to have had a crush on Katie for a long time, before he gets kicked out by the Saphire family because of his homophobic comments.
Despite the bully being gone, Katie is stl hesitent about opening up about her feelings, and she asks Mila for some space. At the end of the season, Katie finds herself at the wrong place at the wrong time and gets attacked by Jared Carrington. Katie gets severly injured, but gets saved by Alyssa Miller. Alyssa then calls a favor from a contact at The Anconi, asking her to keep Katie safe.
Season Six[]
In Season Six, Katie is revealed to be alive and well, having lived under the care of Jade Miller as her handmaiden. Katie gets in touch with Mila after many years, and she explains to her where she has been all along
Personality[]
Katie is compassionate, but also a bit naive at first. She is good with people and planning, as a member of the student council.
