Descendants is a story that follows the magical bloodlines and their descendants in a new era of the magical community. Different witches come together to build on the revolution that their parents gifted them. Dubbing themselves "the bronze generation" after their parents and the vampire-witch offspring in Waterfall Creek. The next generation of Curtis, Thornton and Ambroise witches form friendship as they tackle problems that only their existence could have conjured up.

Storyline[]
Season One[]
As the families gather for an annual party in Seattle, Charlotte Ambroise introduces her cousin Kara Ambroise, who is staying with them for the summer. Kara is welcomed by Quinn Saphire, Logan Saphire and friends and they introduce Kara to the complicated magical network.
Quinn emerges herself in the Portland clublife, selling tickets to get money for the martial arts classes her parents refuse to buy. When her best friend Daniel tells her he is HIV positive, they come up with a plan together. Quinn enlists the help of her best friend Marissa and her twin brother Nolan. Later Quinn helps set up Daniel and Noah Curtis.
Lucas is tasked with preparing for the arrival of queen Rhaella's daughters, who will live in the human world to learn more about royal politics. Underestimating their own magic, princess Niya accidentally causes a near fatal injury in which Emberle Thornton gets impaled. Lucas and Charlotte save Emberle and after word gets back to queen Rhaella she chooses to return the throne it back to the Ambroise bloodline after 20 years, because her daughters were not up for the task of becoming royals.
Logan watches as Charlotte becomes next in line for the throne, and they end their relationship. When Finn shows up in Portland, he tells Logan that Caitlin hasn't been to class in weeks. Logan and Finn search through all of Portland, and eventually discover that the Russian Maffia has been active in Portland. They manage to track them down and free Caitlin, but Logan gets captured himself.
Kara
Avery aids Sophia in a mission to find out more about the Underground.
At the end of the season Charlotte arrives at Kara's doorstep, saying it's best she prepares for the throne in France by learning from the previous queen, her namesake Charlotte. Kara suspects Charlotte wants to put as much distance between her and Logan as possible. Quinn meets the handsome Marcus Gustavsson. Caitlin is free but feels the guilt of Logan being captured instead. She then reveals that on top of everything else, she is pregnant from one of the abuser's at Yuri's cabin.
Season Two[]
Caitlin makes the decision to abort the baby, and she gathers all the young witches and wizards to help free Logan. Sophia stops them, saying they're being reckless. She goes in herself, and saves Logan herself.
Quinn is overjoyed to have Sophia stay with them for a while. In her euphoria she misses a red light and gets into a traffic accident with her younger sister Avery Saphire severely injured.
Chronology[]
The story follows the same chronology as Once Upon a Blue Moon as the two stories occur simultaneously.
