Dean is one of the few human characters in Touch of Magic. He is known as the sportshunk from SJBS and we first meet him when he goes to school with Claire and Payton. He is classified as a completely arrogant person, who always gets what he wants.

Max and Dean are two classmates at SJBS. In the late spring they started dating, but their sexuality meant they had to keep their relationship hidden. Dean then chose to date Samantha Washington, but finally ended up choosing for Max instead, when he accepted himself. Max has been a big support in Dean's substance abuse issues, and the two of them have paved a way for a more tolerant community towards LGBTQ people at SJBS. (see more: Dean and Max)
