Payton ; "Yeah, except 99% of our kind does. There's this thing called the magical dimension..." I looked at him and laughed. "Jeez Bash... You know we're stronger when we're with other royals. It was on your 'pro' list of why I should've married you." I then slowly dropped my smile, and looked at him. "It's all going to be fine. All of us are going to be fine."

Bash: I nodded and said: "I know, but maybe I changed my mind. Something just feels off and I can't put my finger on it. But you are probably right." I smiled at her and then looked around. "This Miller thing is really working out for you isn't it? Look at this place. It's amazing."

Payton ; I looked at him and took another sip of my drink. "That's not fair, Bash. This is Jason's. You know the type of royal I am, I'd never take advantage of the wealth I have. And that's not going to be the case with the Millers. The only reason Jason and I even agreed to this is so that we could help those people. Turn that army of soldiers into something good. Give them a home.." Although come to think of it one motel probably wouldn't be enough. "The fact that we have a suite and not a regular room doesn't mean anything."

Bash: "That's not what I meant and you know it." I smiled at her and said: "I am just happy for you that things are starting to work out. That you seem happy and out of immediate danger. I know you would never take advantage of the wealth you have. But it is nice to go on a little vacation sometimes. Get out of Waterfall Creek and spend some time with you husband in a great place." I nodded and took a sip from my drink. "You know... I think Jason was the right choice to make."

Payton ; "Except it was never really a choice though. And you know it too." I said, in a comeback to what he said. I then sat down again, looked at him and sighed. "I know this is not exactly the position you'd like to see me in. As a royal you have the right to judge me. As my friend, I hope you really mean it when you say you're happy. Because he is the father of my kids, and the guy I married almost a year ago. And I love him with my entire heart. And yes, it may be unconventional for a witch to lead a vampire coven. And yes maybe I won't have as much time to do the other things. My magical responsibilities to name one. But like you said, it's nice to leave it all behind for a bit, every now and then. So I'll drink to that." I said, before putting the glass back to my lips and taking a few sips.

Bash: I nodded and said: "I do mean it. I do want to see you happy and there is no other person who makes you more happy than Jason. I might not particularly like him, but he is a good person, a good father and a good husband. So yes, I am honestly happy for you." I smiled and then took a sip myself. "And about your duty's as a royal... I would not worry about that. They did not take care of you when you needed them the most, so why would you have to take care of the magical dimension right now? Take care of the people that are there for you."

Payton ; I looked at him and smiled. People would probably frown so much if they saw us like this. But truthfully me and Bash were connected way more than most people experience in my life. We were one of the few people to know what the other's going through. We loved eachother, but the romantic sense of that word had never stuck with us. We loved eachother like siblings, but also hated eachother like siblings in the exact same way. We could laugh like best friends, and not talk to eachother for months like strangers. Bash was my friend. And I needed a friend in the middle of all of this. Although I wasn't particulary a good friend. Because when I woke up the next morning, one of the first thoughts was the fact that I didn't get a hotel room. My hand then trailed to the bed, but there was nobody in the bed next to me. I then heard a familiar 'goodmorning' and I looked to where to voice was coming from. "Morning... Is.. Is he still here?" I asked, before Jason gestured me to be quiet, pointing to the living area of the suite. There, in the reflection of the mirrror, I saw Bash on the couch, and I sighed.

Jason: I looked at her and said: "Yes, he is still here." I sat down on the bed right beside her and took her hand. "It's okay. You don't have to explain... I get it. You were alone and he is a friend so he came over." I kissed her and said: "I am happy you seem to have had a great night. That is more than I could have given you yesterday."

Payton ; I sat up a bit more and leaned my head on his shoulder. "What about your night? How did it go?"

Jason: I looked at her and smiled. "I guess it went well. I'm still alive and they agreed to help us if Grayson, signs the contract. They trust him and Alyssa trusts him too.... So I guess we should believe that. They seemed like decent people."
